This 4″ Tiger Chert Northern Sidenotch is flintknapped from a classic Wyoming material used by prehistoric people for over 10,000 years. The striking banding was certainly a thing of beauty to these ancient hunter/gatherers, as it is for flintknappers of today. Given its long use, Tiger Chert was highly prized for its functionality, as well.
